Garden 1:
This project was a small family garden on a considerable slope.
The clients wanted to utilize all of the available space and incorporate
a seating area and children’s play area.
By terracing the garden we were able to create 3 separate areas.

Decking was installed nearest the house with a pergola to provide shade,
a small lawn and raised bed were created using sleepers of different heights
to add interest and finally the lower area has been laid to bark chippings
to provide a safe environment for the play area.
A cascading pebble pool was included to bring atmosphere without causing
risk to the children.
Garden 2:
This client wished to extend his existing garden by
adding a Japanese style combination of gravel and water.
We created a secluded area using trellis screening and railway sleepers
and included a small pond suitable for fish, with seating and sympathetic
planting. |

Garden 3:
This was a garden designed from scratch for a newly
built house.
The client requested an easy to maintain garden with a large seating
area and space for a summerhouse.
We created the seating area adjacent to the house to be accessed
from the French windows using York Buff patio slabs with a curved
edge to add interest.

A large lawn was laid with stepping-stones leading
to the summerhouse.
We planted the borders with shrubs and perennials and incorporated
a small rose garden, we also mulched them with bark chippings to suppress
weed growth. |
